I have literally walked out of a hospital with IVs still attached to my arms when I disagreed on course of treatment that included hospitalization for a case of white coat syndrome. They also wanted me to wait one hour to sign a waiver, which I unkindly refused.
Yeah you're always free to decline medical services. Nobody can make you go to the hospital (unless you're unconscious or in delirious but then you aren't deciding anything).
